Simple by design

Pick a card. Play your way.
Claim your reward.

01

Pick a card at a participating spot

Venues design the cards — a climbing gym might set 25 route challenges, a park runs a 9-square tic-tac-toe of parkour moves. Browse cards live at spots near you, or walk in and scan.

02

Play on your terms

Each square is a challenge — something you do, not something you answer. Try it, nail it, and tap the square to mark it complete. Honor system: no staff watching, no referee. We trust you.

03

Hit the pattern — claim the reward

Bingo: complete any row, column, or diagonal. Tic-tac-toe: three in a row. Your card auto-detects the win and unlocks a real reward at the venue — a free pass, a drink, a discount on gear.

The twist

Players write
the challenges.

Venues set up the card, but players can submit new challenges to add to it. See something nobody’s attempted? Propose a square.

If the venue approves it, your challenge joins the deck — and the next player to draw the card might be taking on a move you invented. Over time, every card becomes a fingerprint of the community that plays it.

The first few squares come from the venue. The best ones come from you.

Real cards. Real venues.

No paywall, no gotcha.

Free to play

Every card, every venue. No subscription, no premium tier, no in-app purchase. The whole thing runs in your browser.

Honor system

No scorekeepers, no referees. You tap the square when you’ve done the thing. Bingo never had a referee and ours doesn’t either.

Real rewards

Claimed at the host venue — a free climb pass, a chalk bag, a round on the house. From the people whose space you just spent an hour enjoying.

FAQ

The quick version.

Frequently asked questions.

Do I need an account?

Yes — a free Sidequest account. Your account tracks your progress across cards and is how we assign and deliver your rewards. No account, no reward.

How much does it cost?

Nothing. Every Challenge card on Sidequest is free to play. Rewards are sponsored by the venue hosting the card — there’s no paywall, no subscription, no premium tier.

How do you verify I completed a square?

We don’t — and we’re not going to start. Challenges run on the honor system. You tap the square when you’ve done the thing. If you’re cheating at a climbing bingo card at 3pm on a Sunday, that’s between you and the wall.

What’s the difference between bingo and tic-tac-toe cards?

Length, mostly. Bingo cards are 5×5 (25 squares) — great for a full session at a gym or venue. Tic-tac-toe cards are 3×3 (9 squares) — perfect for a quick meetup, a class, or a one-hour event.

Can I suggest new challenges for a card?

Yes — that’s the whole idea. Every card has a submission form. Propose a square, and if the venue approves it, your challenge goes live on the card. The best cards are built by the communities that play them.

How do I find a card near me?

Browse cards by location at sidequest.com/challenges — or look for the Sidequest QR code posted at participating venues. Scan in, pick your card, start playing.
